First, you must complete your 30-day general internship. You cannot begin your professional internship until your general internship has been approved.

You can complete an internship at the end of your second year.

You can begin your internship no sooner than 10 days after the document submission deadline.

It may be split into two parts, provided that each part is at least 10 business days long.

Yes, you can. You can request early completion or an extension by submitting a written request to the Dean’s Office Internship Office.

You can complete an optional internship.

You must submit an application to the Department Chair, attaching your internship start documents and your application letter.

 4. It may be completed after the end of the semester. Optional internships are conducted in accordance with a decision by the Faculty Administrative Board. There is no requirement that other internships have been completed in order to undertake optional internships.

Students who have at least three full, flexible workdays per week may complete an internship alongside their coursework. Students who are about to graduate must attach a document or screenshot to their application showing that they have completed all required credits.

The “Internship Logbook” that is not submitted within one month of the completion of the internship will not be evaluated.

Students who have only their internship remaining are not required to pay tuition. However, if you wish to continue enjoying your student benefits, you must pay tuition.

If you submit a written request stating that you will not take the make-up exam, you may complete your internship during make-up exam week.

Yes, you'll have to wait.

Half-days do not count toward the internship.

The ledger must be in good condition when it is submitted to the committee.

Since the internship project you completed requires engineering expertise, your logbook must be signed by an engineer.

If there is no stamp, the company name, the engineer’s title, and name must be written by hand.

General internships are conducted at institutions or companies where the head of the internship unit is an engineer. For professional internships, the supervisor must be an engineer in one of the following fields: Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Control and Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or Electrical and Electronics Engineering. 

  1. In the event of illness, provided it is documented by a medical certificate covering at least 3 days
  2. In the event of the death of one of the student’s close relatives—such as a parent, spouse, sibling, etc.—on a date that would prevent the student from taking the exam
  3. If one of the close relatives listed above is urgently hospitalized on the day before the exam or on the day of the exam due to a serious illness or accident
  4.  If a student who has set out to take the exam is involved in a traffic accident that prevents them from arriving in time for the exam
  5.  If a student is unable to arrive in time for the exam due to an accident, even though the student was not directly involved in the accident
  6. If the student is outside Istanbul prior to the exam and a natural disaster occurs at their location or along the route to Istanbul that makes travel impossible
  7.  If a fire, earthquake, flood, collapse, destruction, or similar situation occurs in the building where the student resides on the day before or the day of the exam, preventing them from taking the exam
  8. If the student was taken to a police station for any reason and, as a result, was unable to take the exam, 
  9.  If the student has been taken into custody or arrested
  10. If the student is assigned by the university or other official institutions to participate in a national or international competition, sporting event, or similar activity

It must be submitted to the relevant Department Chair within 3 (three) days after the end of the excused absence. In cases where these deadlines are exceeded, the right to take a make-up exam will not be granted. 

If extreme rainfall, snow, flooding, or similar conditions that disrupt transportation in Istanbul on the day of the exam are announced to the public through the media, students who are taking the exam at that time will not be required to submit a separate excuse letter.

The student first takes the exam(s) for the course(s) in their major program. To take the exam(s) for the course(s) in their double major program, the student must submit a “Request for a Make-up Exam” to apply for a make-up exam.

No, you won't be participating.

Midterm exams are administered during the final week of each course. For make-up exams, students are responsible for the entire course content.

Once you have completed your courses and internships, the Office of Student Affairs will handle your graduation procedures.
