All our students taking EHM4200-Design Project or EHM9000-Graduation Study courses;
You must form teams of two or three people and choose one of the topics given above. The project title to be studied will be determined by the project team and the advisor, provided that it falls within the scope of the selected main topic.
As a project team of two or three people, fill out the FR-1487 Electronics and Communication Engineering Department Design Project and Graduation Study Registration Form, which can be downloaded from the website https://kalite.yildiz.edu.tr/sayfa/Kalite-Dokümanları/Formlar/339.
Points to consider when filling out the form:
The FR-1487 form must be filled out on a computer. Do not fill in handwriting.
Once the form is completed, it must be signed by all team members with a blue ballpoint pen. Documents signed in pencil will not be considered valid.
When filling out the FR-1487 form, be sure to write your corporate e-mail addresses with the extension ...@std.yildiz.edu.tr, provided by our university, in the e-mail contact information section.
After entering all the necessary information and completing the signatures, send the form numbered FR-1487 in PDF format to the Graduation Studies Commission's e-mail address ehmprojekomisyon@yildiz.edu.tr no later than 23.59 on Sunday, 29.09.2024. One student from each team is sufficient to send an e-mail. There is no need for team members to submit the same form separately.
Students whose applications for in-house projects supported by BAP Coordination, BİDEB projects, TÜBİTAK supported entrepreneurship projects, TUSAŞ supported LIFT-UP projects and projects supported by similar Institutions/Organizations have been accepted will be able to have the relevant project topics counted as the subject of the Design Project Graduation Study. These students must write the supported project topics on the FR-1487 form and send it by e-mail along with the project acceptance/support confirmation letter provided to them by the supporting institution.
Our students who want to have their project topics submitted to 2209 BİDEB projects, Tübitak-supported entrepreneurship projects and similar institutions/organizations and whose applications have not yet been accepted, be counted as a Design project / Graduation study subject should contact their project advisor and ensure that the project advisor submits the relevant project application file to the Department Board. Applications submitted to the Department Board by the Project Consultant will be evaluated by the Department Board and, if deemed appropriate, will be accepted as the subject of a Design project/Dissertation study.
Our students who cannot form a team should list the subjects in the list above in order of priority (from first choice to last choice) and send an e-mail to ehmprojekomisyon@yildiz.edu.tr. The graduation study commission will combine the remaining students in order of preference and form teams of two or three people.
The project topics of our students who do not submit the FR-1487 form and/or do not notify the commission even though they cannot form a team will be assigned by the Graduation Study Commission.
Design Project/Graduation Study project teams and Advisor pairings will be announced on the EHM Department website at the end of the second week of the semester.
Suggestions
Project suggestions; It should be done in a way that creates a Complex System, Process, Device or Product, using the knowledge and skills you have acquired in the courses. Here is the definition of “complex system”; It means a system, process, device or product that involves multiple components and various subsystems and/or involves more than one discipline and whose analysis and design is a complex problem. Complex problem; It requires some or all of the elements such as in-depth engineering knowledge, abstract thinking, creative use of basic engineering principles and research-based knowledge on leading topics of the relevant engineering discipline, development of a new model or method for its solution, and provides significant results in various contexts, involving various stakeholders with different needs. It means a wide-ranging problem that may occur.
Projects must have a master design that includes engineering standards and realistic conditions/constraints. Studies that include complete literature research and/or analysis only, or partial design applications made in a theoretical/applied course, and/or design studies that do not adequately meet engineering standards and realistic conditions/constraints are not accepted.
We wish you success
